Austell in Cobb County (30168)
Austell grew up around railroad tracks laid down by the Georgia Pacific Railway and the East Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia Railroad after the Civil War. So it's fitting that it's one of a string of towns that has benefited from the Silver Comet Trail, a 60-mile biking and walking trail that begins in Cobb County and follows an old rail line. Austell is about 18 miles from Atlanta and 10 miles from Marietta. The nearest expressways are I-20 and I-285.
